The Edenview Youth Trust was established in December 2002 with $76,000 being part of the proceeds from the sale of the Methodist Edenview Campsite near Edendale.

GRANT APPLICATIONS - APPLICATIONS FOR 2O24 have now CLOSED.
The purpose of the grants is "New Ministries in Southland" The wording of the Trust Deed was amended by the Otago Southland Methodist Synod in 2005 to widen the scope for grants. The specific clause now reads that the funds may "Be available for the development of new and on-going Youth Ministries in Southland ORany other New Ministries in Southland"
Applications are administered by the Invercargill Methodist Parish Council and decisions will be made by the committee established by the Parish Council as set out in the Trust Deed.
Applicants should give as much detail as possible to support their case.
The Edenview Trust has supported many activities since its inception, including:
Otautau Toy Library Seeding funding to start; a grant for training staff and a grant to help fund alterations to the area used by the Toy Library.
Otatara Community Church a grant towards alterations to the Witherford Hall.
Support for youth and outreach activities to the Otatara Community Church Invercargill Methodist Parish
A grant towards leadership training for the Riverton Boys Brigade
A grant to support Parent and Family education in Riverton
A grant for a presbyter to attend a Focus on the Family course
Grants to the Southland Christian Education Commission as support for Bible in Schools and to the Scripture Union to help support a Youth Worker.
A grant to support a youth camp run by the Bluff Co-operating Parish.
